PageCrit

Privacy policy

Last updated October 25, 2026

PageCrit collects no data. It has no servers, accounts, analytics, ads or tracking, and the extension makes no network requests. Your reviews stay in your browser until you copy or download them.

What the extension reads

PageCrit only runs on a tab when you click its toolbar button. On that page it reads what it needs to build your review: the text and position of the elements you pin, edit or remove, and a short excerpt of the surrounding page. This happens entirely in your browser.

It leaves password and form fields alone and never includes form values in a review.

What it stores, and where

None of this is synced to other devices or sent anywhere.

What leaves your browser

Only what you choose to export. Copy Markdown puts the review on your clipboard; Download saves it as a .md file where you choose. What you do with it after that, such as pasting it into a coding agent, is up to you and covered by that tool's own policy.

Permissions

This website

pagecrit.dev is a static site. It uses no cookies or analytics. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data (such as IP addresses) to serve and protect the site.

The Try it on this page demo runs PageCrit inside the page itself. It works like the extension: your demo review is kept in this browser's session storage until you close it, recent reviews in its local storage, and nothing is sent anywhere.

No selling or sharing

Because PageCrit collects nothing, there is nothing to sell, share or use for advertising.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. PageCrit is open source, so you can check exactly what it does. Questions? Open an issue on GitHub.
